A Simple Healthy-Skin Routine for November and Beyond

by Brittney Colvin 17 Oct 2026

November is National Healthy Skin Month, the awareness period identified by the American Academy of Dermatology. It’s a useful reminder to make time for everyday skin care, but a manageable routine matters all year long.

Start simply: cleanse, choose a treatment that fits your goals, and moisturize. Introduce new products gradually rather than starting everything at once.

Why we chose these four products

These selections have strong repeat-purchase signals in our store data. Among customers whose first purchase included each product, the recorded second-order rates were 52.2% for Dark Spot Blaster Serum, 50.0% for Vitamin C Brightening Serum, 40.0% for Rich Glow Face & Body Cream, and 25.5% for Raw African Black Soap. These figures describe customers placing a second order, not necessarily repurchasing that same item. They are shopping behavior, not evidence of skin results or a guarantee that a product will suit everyone.

Before adding anything new

Patch test a new product on a small area before wider use, following its label instructions. For a cleanser, rinse it off as directed rather than leaving it on. Introduce one new product at a time. A small-area test cannot guarantee that irritation will not occur later. Stop using a product if irritation develops, and seek guidance from a dermatologist for persistent concerns or questions about combining active ingredients.

Step 1: Cleanse gently

Raw African Black Soap is a face-and-body cleansing option. Its directions recommend use in the shower before bed. Lather it in a washcloth or bath sponge before use rather than rubbing the raw bar directly onto skin, since it can contain hard plant particles. Use a gentle touch and rinse thoroughly. If your skin feels dry or tight, reassess your cleanser and frequency rather than scrubbing harder.

Handle the bar carefully and keep it in a cool, dry place between uses.

Step 2: Choose a serum, not a complicated stack

You do not need both serums to begin. Choose one, follow its directions, and assess how your skin tolerates it before expanding your routine.

Dark Spot Blaster Serum

Dark Spot Blaster Serum contains kojic acid, niacinamide, and papaya extract and is intended for the appearance of uneven tone. The product directions say to shake well, then apply a pea-sized amount to cleansed skin in the morning and/or evening. Spread gently without tugging. Avoid using more in hopes of faster results.

Vitamin C Brightening Serum

Vitamin C Brightening Serum is an alternative for a routine focused on the appearance of a brighter complexion. This product’s directions specify nighttime use: apply a pea-sized amount after cleansing and/or toning, spread gently, and follow with a lotion or cream.

Follow the current product label if directions change. There is no promised timeline for visible changes, and individual experiences vary.

Step 3: Moisturize thoughtfully

Rich Glow Face & Body Cream includes aloe vera, shea butter, vitamin E, and kojic acid. Its directions call for application to cleansed affected areas twice daily. Because it contains an active brightening ingredient, treat it as more than a basic moisturizer: introduce it gradually rather than adding it alongside several unfamiliar active products.

If you are unsure whether it belongs alongside your serum, ask a dermatologist about your routine. All four products are for external use.

Keep the routine easy to repeat

In the morning, keep cleansing and moisturizing suited to your skin, and make sun protection part of your day. In the evening, cleanse gently, use your chosen serum according to its instructions, and moisturize with a product you tolerate. More products and heavier applications are not the goal.

If you already use prescription skincare or have an ongoing skin concern, check with your clinician before introducing new active products. This guide is general skincare education, not a diagnosis or treatment plan.

Use November as your reminder to start small, pay attention to your skin, and build habits you can maintain beyond the month.
